If you have dry skin, start with a moisturizer, they can ease the discomfort. if you are having irritation in different climates oils can help soothe the skin. When you take a bath keep it short, use warm water. After you are finished with your bath, while you are still damp, apply oil to your skin. Oils have more staying power than lotions and creams because it prevents the evaporation of water from the surface of your skin. On a daily basis apply oil to your skin especially on the areas prone to dryness.

Humidifiers are great to use, especially in the winter. They prevent lost of moisture from the skin through evaporation. Aloe vera can help take away dead skin cells. Apply it on the dry areas. You can also us a few drops of oil to your water to reduce redness and it helps soothe irritated skin. Exfoliation is good for the skin, just make sure you are gentle with your skin and you don't do it to often.

One thing that can be done to help you before the skin starts to become irritated is to create a notebook, write down whats going on in your environment. What may have triggered the symptoms and how can you start right now, reducing the problem.
